I send warm greetings and new questionnaires applied with the help of a group of students at the university.
The methodology was as follows:
In one afternoon, the questionnaires were applied under my supervision in one of the busiest streets in the center of this town, around noon we split up the street. The task was to apply more than 5 and at random, taking care not to interview people who were together. We try to stay near them to observe their subsequent reactions.
The next day everyone was at home format and mailing it to me.

My comments are: People answered
palatable to the questions that they did, but their attitudes and nonverbal expression did not suggest that they were not completely honest, some things said calling saying please and thank you (very formally), but was not so in reality.

I've been checking the responses of the hundred and I interviewed a number of concerns have arisen that I would like to share and solve it all, added to which was added in a previous post Susan.
I think we should clarify the issue of the relationship between the number of words and courtesy or at least agree about how to process information, so that the results of different surveys are comparable. Pongo

forms, "Excuse me" / "Compermiso" (sic) / "Excuse me," are in fact a greater courtesy by the simple fact of having two are almost interchangeable words or with forms Complimentary 1?: Permit / Allow / Bajaaaaaaaaaaaaan !!!!! (Sic) What do we do with the way "Let me go!" Which has two words, but it is far more powerful and less polite than "Excuse me"
What do we do with the way "Excuse me!": if you count the exclamation points is transformed into a more polite, to include four "words" that "simple" "Excuse me", the live or neutral intonation increase the sense of courtesy?
The situation is reversed if we look at "May I" (two words), subtly less polite form "Excuse me" (four "words").
Other cases:
"I give permission? "versus" I'll pass "
Even with both forms three words, an average speaker catalogaría the first way more polite than the second, simply because the first one is taking into account the existence of the other, indicating if you would have to give permission to pass. In the second, less politely, we might remember the proverb that says: "The donkey in front so as not to frighten them away": to reach the exit door, the speaker refers to himself, not others, and commits an act of discourtesy.
"Can you give me permission" versus "going down" or even versus "I give permission "
The three forms have the same number of words (three), and yet I do not think that should be on the same level of courtesy. The first way is much more polite than the next two, perhaps no sense of imposition than any speaker in the first half note for that "may" so obviously polite.

submit a question related to the processing of information from Questionnaire 1.
On the next stage of work for APUC:
1. When you ask ten different answers write to those presented in the questionnaire 1, is referred to a different answer for each question, or may be two or more different answers to some of the ten questions total?
2. With respect to the formula that relates in direct proportion to the number of words of courtesy, do we count or consider ALL the words? That is to say, especially in questions 7 and 8 of questionnaire 1, following "formula" courtesy, "forgive," "forgive," etc., the interviewee usually add a litany of explanations: "we are", "Give Back in ...", "go straight": add these words too?
2a. How do we count the cases where the respondent has two or more options for response? "We added twice, as if they were two different people (and add to the final total count of respondents as a person" double ") or consider only one answer selected at random?
2b. How has the words "please" means one or two words, alluding to its semantic content (a) or form (two)?
2c. Do we have to "ageless" under categories 2 and 4, excluding obviously the 3?

And finally, I will add two additional late response I just got to approach more easily to calculations with a base of 100 respondents (which may vary, of course, in depending on the answers I give to the questions in this post.)

Thank You For Coming Through
Connect Art
In March 2006, brings together a group of artists of Cordoba, or living in Cordoba (Manuel María Moreno, Matilde Gallardo, Elena Martin, White Mile, Rafael Revuelta, Lola Ortega y Arroyo Ceballos ...) with the clear goal of promoting art and send it to the general public.
Given the poor response usually found by the ordinary citizen than the usual assistance to all types of exhibitions, this group, led by artist and writer Francisco Arroyo Ceballos, decided to bring the creation to the people.
This will make all kinds of artwork (posters, brochures, leaflets ...) and placed in strategic locations outside of Cordoba.
In all of them listed as critical, the project's web address http://conectartecordoba.blogspot.com where interested parties can access information about the project and the artists members in it.
The posters can be viewed full-size works of each artist. Each with his usual style (realism, abstraction ...) and thematic.
From this fact we deduce that individuality works are displayed on posters and leaflets and other joint.
The project is supported by private institutions such as: Cultural Assoc Aires de Cordoba, Amphora Art School, London Academy, Paintings Realejo ... and is part of a set of activities developed by the project management and Cultural Assoc Aires Cordoba whose purpose is the development of culture in our city.

Comments on the sample of Questionnaire # 1.
We seem to be against the "Trojan horse." In our sample could fit the entire Hispanic world. Platitudinous definition by other utopian.

1 º. Corpus: of the (many) definitions of "sample", we chose to offer the working group devoted to textual corpora EAGLES (Expert Advisory Group on Language Engineering Standards) (1996a: 4):
Corpus: "A collection of pieces of language selected and ordered That Are According To explicit linguistic criteria in order to be Used as a sample of the language. "
This definition contained three fundamental aspects to be considered in the definition of the corpora: a corpus should be composed of texts produced in real situations ("pieces of language") and the inclusion of texts that make up the corpus should be guided by a set of explicit linguistic criteria to ensure it can be used as a representative sample of a language. All scholars dedicated to corpus agree that these are fundamental in the creation and definition of the corpora, but certainly not cease to be controversial issues that have sometimes resulted in different positions. 1. Option 1 encourages informants to clarify "raise my hand and I hope you have eye contact. As for the answer" when you can, please ...", I think it is a phrase commonly used in Spain in which the user interrupts politely server activity. The chair is in option 2.
2. In question 6, the response "forgive" untitled to the ser vice provider, is common and may be approved with the results of other researchers, so the left as "other"
3. Variant 9 resulted in two comments from the informants:
a) "depends on the age, if more I talk about you, if you're young, so familiarity"
b) "If I request information from a passerby, we I say 'please', but in case of officers or employees, I do not, because 'for that they are'. "

Pregunta 1. ¿Me podría traer... servir?, ¿podría venir?, etc. Se expresa la petición con una pregunta en lugar de una orden, el tono suaviza el trato.
Pregunta 2. Se ubica la respuesta en la opción 2, aunque los informantes 3, 14 y 19 usaron el verbo servir, en lugar de regalar.
Pregunta 3. Levanta la mano y/o espera contacto visual. Hace la "seña mundial de pedir la cuenta". Se establece amabilidad recíproca. Informantes 8,14 y 20.
Pregunta 4. ¿Están formados? Asigno a esta respuesta la opción 1, porque el informante asume que respetará el turno que le toca, además de que insist that the interrogative tone softens the interaction.
Questions 5 and 7. To position itself as a user, the informant first presents and then requests the service.
COMMENT.
I think it would be convenient to write "BA or equivalent" instead of "University", in paragraph d.4 of Schooling, by the unschooled System (SNE) offers the possibility of further study, although the work covers a full schedule.
